Do I need to have previous experience to go climbing or canyoneering?
Depends on the trip! We have different climbing and canyoneering trips geared toward all levels - from first timers to experienced folks looking to hone their skills and learn new techniques. Whether this is your first time out, or you want to further your big wall or rescue skills in preparation for a big mission, Rockbound Adventures can help you reach your goals. While all adventure sports carry some inherent risk, your safety is our number one priority. Rockbound guides are AGMA-certified, have years of guiding experience, and all are Wilderness First Responders.

Are there age limits or fitness requirements?
Depends on the trip! Rockbound intro-level climbing and canyoneering trips are appropriate for most families and individuals who are moderately fit. Some trips are better suited to adults or older children. Our guides can work with you to find the experience best suited to your group!

What does it mean to be AMGA certified?
The American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) is the U.S.' representative to the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA), the international governing body responsible for guiding standards and education around the world. The AMGA is a non-profit organization that provides support, education, and standards to mountain guides. The AMGA certifies guides in three different disciplines: Rock, Alpine, and Ski. An individual can be certified at a variety of levels in each discipline.
